Group divorce counselling

You don’t have to go through separation alone

A supportive, therapist-led online group for people navigating divorce and separation across British Columbia and Ontario — a place to feel understood, share the weight, and find your footing again.

Does this sound like you?

Your relationship story is your own — some of this may still feel familiar

The life you planned has shifted, and you’re not sure who you are anymore.

You swing between relief, grief, anger and guilt — sometimes all in one day.

The people around you mean well, but they don’t really understand what this is like.

You’re holding it together for the kids while quietly falling apart.

You keep replaying what went wrong, or what you could have done differently.

You want to move forward — but you don’t want to do it on your own.

In the group, you’re surrounded by people who understand — because they’re living it too.

What we help with

Support for every part of it

Grief & letting go

The end of a relationship is a real loss — even when it’s the right thing.

Anger, resentment & betrayal

The hurt, the unfairness, and the feelings that are hard to say out loud.

Co-parenting & the kids

Protecting your children, sharing parenting, and managing a difficult dynamic.

Rebuilding your identity

Who you are now — and rediscovering confidence, direction and self-trust.

Loneliness & starting over

The empty house, the changed routines, and the fear of being on your own.

Overwhelm & moving forward

When the practical and the emotional pile up, and you need steady ground.

How it works

The quiet power of not doing it alone

Each session is a small, facilitated online group of people going through divorce and separation. There’s something uniquely healing about being with others who simply get it — no explaining, no pretending, no need to hold it all together.

Erica guides every session with a trauma-informed, compassionate approach, so the group stays a safe place to be honest, feel supported, and slowly find your way forward — at a pace that respects where each person is.

Why Rising Minds

Guided by someone who understands

You’ll be held by Erica Harris — a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), trained in trauma-informed care and Compassionate Inquiry®.

Erica brings warmth and a deep respect for what people can endure and rebuild. In a group, that steadiness is everything — it’s what makes it safe to open up.

Questions

Group divorce counselling FAQs

How is a group different from individual therapy?

A group adds something individual work can’t — the relief of realising you’re not alone, and the support of people who truly understand. It stays guided by a therapist throughout.

Will I have to share in front of strangers?

Never on the spot. You share only what feels right, when it feels right — and simply listening is completely okay, especially at the start.

Who else is in the group?

Others navigating divorce or separation, at various stages. Groups are kept small and are always facilitated, so it stays safe and respectful.

Is what I share kept private?

Yes. Confidentiality is a core group agreement, and sessions are held on a secure platform — what’s shared in the group stays in the group.

What if I’m only separating, or still deciding?

You’re welcome wherever you are — considering it, in the middle of it, or rebuilding afterwards. The free 15-minute call helps us find the right fit.
